Default Sport quad challenge: build your quad!

I thought that this might be useful to someone looking into a new sport quad (and it should be fun for those participating )

Here is the challenge: You have a budget of $7,000. Build the best sport quad you can for one of the following purposes: MX, Sand, Trail or general use. You MUST include the cost of the quad at STANDARD price (meaning more than two dealers sell it for that price). For now we will not include dealer fees or taxes. Here is the format:

Quad type:
Cost:
Suspension mods:

Item 1 w/ description and price
Item 2 w/ description and price
Item 3 w/ description and price
etc.

Motor mods:

Item 1 w/ description and price
Item 2 w/ description and price
Item 3 w/ description and price
ect.

Other mods:

Item 1 w/ description and price
Item 2 w/ description and price
Item 3 w/ description and price
ect.

Total cost:

Sound fun? Perhaps we'll add another category for larger budgets but, this seemed to be more interesting as you will have to really specialize the bike in this budget.

Let the games begin...

Screw that $7K budget nonsense.

Fun Upgrades:
- Titanium frame
- Titanium (and hollow) valves
- lighter valve springs
- Turbo charger
- electronic fuel injection

If you want to go really nuts
- 2 lobe rotory engine.

I see contradiction in your post Corpsie...

On one hand you are telling me sky is the limit yet, in your sig. it's "Power for Pennies"

That's cool. We all have the right to be complex

Thanks for playin'

I think itd be fun to do that with a blaster. Im probably too tall but it would still be fun. For 3,000 new, youd have 4 to put into it. I looked into it awhile ago but dont remember the prices.

240 Trenga motor(sell stock and get some money back)
Wider a arms and axle
extended swingarm
axis suspension

Im pretty sure you could do all of that with selling the stock parts for around 7g.

My other choice would be my predator. theres 6000. I would add the front rezzys and a full Trinity exhaust. thats all you need right there

Yeah, the Gas Gas looks pretty interesting. Their dirt bikes are top notch so, I will be interested to see what folks say about the quad.

Power for Pennies is my website and that's my signature, not my post.

7000$ isn’t much of a budget if you have to include the price of a new bike. There are some bikes like a Blaster for instance that you could build up nice in that budget. But I dont believe in making slow bikes outrun fast bikes when I could make a fast bike smoke anything for similar $$.
