Read the october 2002 issue of dirtwheels if u have it. It says the 300EX is better in every way. They are the ultamite woods machine. Mine will smoke any 4x4 and probably most sport quads in the woods. Mine will do anywhere from 60 to 63 mph with my mods and im very happy. What really suprises me is how well it muds. I mean it is almost unbelievable. I can put her in second or third in the mud and open her up and she flies by the 4x4's. Two words " Ride Red "

A Mojave will run dead even or faster than a 300EX stock for stock. With the $700 difference in retail price, you can go and get a Goki electric starter, and a pipe and filter for the Mojave. Then you can go out and completely waste some 300's.[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif[/img]

 

trailbreaker, i dont think a mohave would run anybit faster than a 300ex, and you could put a pipe on anything and make it faster, were talking stock,you could put a pipe on a 300ex and completly waste mohaves too.

 

The point is, as I said very clearly, that there is a huge difference in price and you don't really get any better performance. Handling may be a LITTLE better on the 300, but not enough to spend an extra $700 on.

 

4 strokes keep value better than 2 strokes after you buy them, and they value better and its a honda, the most reliable quads on the market.

 

I've never heard of the Mojave having any more problems than a 300ex. For a liquid cooled DOHC engine, it's very reliable.

 

The Mojave has been around a while, and soo has the 300. They both r really reliable quads. I haven't rode either, but have heard lots of good things about both. I would say either would be a good quad to choose. They both are well worth the value to me. I wouldn't mind having either.

Hondaracer, I'm sorry if you seem to think everything I say is directed at you. It isn't. You accuse me of starting arguments, I see it as being the other way around. Sorry if it looks like I'm picking on the 300ex. It's just that it isn't as perfect TO ME as it is to everyone else. Sorry for any trouble that I may have caused. I'm sorry I offended you Hondaracer. The bottom line is, you have to ride them both for yourself and see which one you like better.
