How much is insurance through Geico? When I looked into getting mine ensured by them they said they insured motorcycles but not ATVs. I'm not sure how many years ago that was but maybe I should look into it again.

Insurance cost all depends in the area in which you live. I have received many quotes from Geico over the years and in my area they are a bit pricey. I am told they are competitive in other areas. You really need to shop around every couple to 3 years to see whose rates have come down.

It's that time of year again and I didn't shop around. I just renewed my Progressive policy. It's still $75 a year and I set up a payment on one of my credit cards. I get 1.5% cash back so there's another $1.13 in my pocket. If I paid $23.75 a month for 4 months it would cost $95 total since there's a $5 fee tacked on to each payment.

Here's where it gets interesting. My comprehensive deductible was $100 and my collision deductible was $500. I thought I could save a few bucks if I changed the comp to $500. I went online today and entered the change and when I was ready to finalize it, the price came up and it would still be $75 a year. Needless to say I didn't change it. I'd rather pay $100 than $500 if it was stolen or whatever. After I chatted online for about 20 minutes I found out that my coverage is as cheap as it can get. Also they said I could change my collision deductible to $250, the lowest amount I can get, for the same price. I just changed it online tonight and now my deductibles are $100 and $250, and it costs the same exact amount as it would if my deductibles were $500 and $500. It's been years since I visited my agent but he could have told me that a long time ago if I did. The really odd thing is that the price of each individual thing on the bill is different but the total is still $75 a year, and I still get up to $3,000 accessory coverage free.

My deductables are all 250 for everything, but my limits are 25 and 50 thousand due to being of retirement age. Premium is still the same 130 per year even though the machine is worth slightly less. They use an established value when you start and the accessorie pkg is at 3500. My home and auto people still have no coverage for UTV's so I am still with progressive. Haven't had a claim so cant say how they will respond if something does happen.

You guys have me thinking, I probably should get it on my 2 Cats. I started out with 15 year old Cats that weren't worth much. But I should have it now, especially liability. I have Liberty Mutual on my Dodges. Anyone have experience with them?

ATV insurance is so cheap everyone should have it. Mine is a fraction over 20 cents a day. It's not like car insurance that may cost $2,000 a year. I've had a few claims with Progressive and they never jacked up my rates, not even when one quad was recovered then stolen again. I think I had Foremost at first. That's who insured the mobile home I had a long time ago too.

Used them many years back, no complaints but not sure about how they are now....do they insure atv's?? Many companies don't. My company does my home, autos and motorhome and my boat but no atv's.....weird I know.

Some insurance companies insure motorcycles and you can get multi-vehicle and multi-policy discounts, but they don't insure ATVs. Maybe someone insures them all, I don't know. It would be nice if my homeowners and car insurance company insured quads too.
