Check to see if your front brakes are sticking. I have 650 miles on my 02 vinson and the brakes still have half of the pad left. I have however just changed my rear brakes. I had 27' ITPs on it. The heavier tires and rims caused the rear brakes to wear a little faster. You should be using your rear brakes more than the fronts anyway. If you are using them more or the same as the rears then your fronts are probabally sticking or set to tight. Good luck!

My rear break pads are completely gone and I only have 550 miles on my 03 Vinson. I wish there were aftermarket pads but so far suzuki is the only one to make them.

There after market brake pads for the vinson, but if you go back to dealer where you bought the bike they should replace them for free, thats what i have done.

my dealer told me that suzuki wouldn't cover them because they are a wear and tear part. So far I have only found rear brakes for the 02 vinson. I have the 03 vinson mauanl. The dealer even said that suzuki is the only maker so far. If you know of the aftermarket ones I would rather have them.

they have them at bertsdirtworks.com for about $25 to $30 dollars. they have rotors too. thats probably what i'll do. i won't ever let the dealer look at mine again unless it is a warranty deal. it goes out in six months. i'm going to buy the service manual and do an overhead on it myself. i don't want those duds at the dealer to touch it.

Your quad has the same brake pads on the front and back as the 1990 and up Warror. Go to Ebay and look for Warrior brakes. $48.00 for all three sets.

how do you know that the brake pads are the same on the warrior and the 03 vinson. If that is the case I will pick some up on my way home from work.

I have been selling them for the Vension for a long time now. I have 60 sets in stock. The vinson gets around 100 to 300 miles out of the good pads.

I have 650 hard driven hatfield and McCoy type miles on my 02 Vinson auto. I just replaced the rear brakes. There was still about 1/4 of the pad left on them. I rode all 650 miles on ATP 589 m/s with C-series rims. I went to change the fronts and I still had a little more than half a pad left on the the fronts. So I do believe that I can get more than 300 miles on the bakes. A 5 speed should get even more.
