Default Zilla piston - transfer slots?

Does the piston in your Zilla have two slots on the intake side?

My Wiesco does not. But an engine I just tore down for a friend does have the slots.

Looks to me like the added area would boost performance.

Whats your thoughts or experience?

Them slots you are talking about are I think what they call "Boost Ports". I think what they do is increase the intake of air+fuel mix which = more power. Stock or regular pistons don't have them in most cases. You can have the boost ports put in by a performance shop.

The concept of Boost porting pistons has been around for a while... Art or Wiseco pistons don't have them in stock form. I'm thinking that LRD is offering a custom piston with ports...
Mine's got 'em... but I put them there.
