87 lt500.
Case has been split by previous owner so I assume bearing problem was corrected. There have been no problems.

new h2o pump, new head gasket
fmf system
skate paddles and razors + new holeshots
nerf bars
all stock plastics (few cracks)
runs great. This bike flies.

2600 obo, in San Diego.

Not too bad of price.... Missing the hood, cracked plastic is EXPENSIVE to replace unless you buy the cheap Maier junk that fits horrible.
Just because the cases have been apart, doesn't necessarily mean the crank bearings have been fixed... The only way to tell if they are bad is to pull the flywheel cover, grab the crank and wiggle hard (Hard enough to almost lift the bike off the ground).. ANY percieved motion means it needs fixed!
Why new head gasket??? having troubles with it blowing?? Could be deeper problems there... Might need mating surfaces machined flat.

How's the frame?? Swingarm? The rougher it looks the less it's worth...

Good luck!

Thanks for the info..

Have the hood. was not on in that pic.
Replaced the head gasket because we pulled the top end to make sure all was good after blowing the water pump up.
True on the assumption.
Frame is straight and a look at the bottom tells that it has not spent much time hitting the ground. original paint on there and there are scratches and wear from the riders boots.
Swingarm is in good shape as well as bearings.

I actually thought about replacing plastics OEM and well, then the price of the Quad would be over 3K. so there are two ways to look at that. 2 cracks on rear (one where on read fender from kick starting, the other under seat. Other crack is on front piece under hood where it bolts to frame. True they are pricey but not bad. Same with paint. I can paint it all up nice an pretty hiding all the scratches but then it ups the price again. To someone looking for a stong ride who doesnt have a ton of cash, this is a great buy.

Any other questions??
