how fast is the gas gas 300 hp two-stroke?
i've only had it out one weekend so far, im still in the break-in cycle. i went to oregon dunes with it, on the second day i opened it up to shoot some pics and can say it has gonads... it's faster than my LT ever was (and it was no slow-poke for an LT) and handles better. i started adjusting the front suspension some to handle the whoops there better... just a few clicks less compression on each side and it did make a difference. if you're asking for pure drag race type comparisons, i haven't got any yet myself. but have heard that others are ripping past most banshees, raptors, DS's and 250R's with a bone stock Gas Gas. the steering has too much camber from the factory and requires some effort to turn & keep in a turn, it wants to come back to center... but other than that it is a very smooth ride.
top speed is around 80 i think
just one question- why did you post this in the suzuki forum?

because suzuki got most of us hooked on two-strokes from their quadracers, i got hooked on the LT250. Then i seen the gas gas and i knew suzuki guys would love it, i did. c'mon didn't you love the first time you opened up a fast two-stroke and knew that you would love it forever? THE first atv i ever owned was a 82mph LT250 AND I WAS ONLY 15 W/ NO RIDING EXPERINCE AND NO CLUTCH EXPERIENCE. think about that rush when i first ran it wide open on pavement, never will forget that. after that i was addicted to power and had to get more, dont we all want more power? thats why i want a 300h.p

I for one am glad to hear a little about the 300! Sure glad to hear that someone had the intestinal fortitude to actually build a 2-stroker again!!!! YIPPEE!!
As long as they didn't detune them too bad, I just might be in line to buy one! But they are WAY too expensive... (Guess I still remember what my antiques cost back in the 80's)
I hope they really rip!

Its great to see a new 2-stroke out there.
Only thing you can get is a banshee and a blaster, and i personally wouldn't buy one for trail riding, although people do do it.
I loved my little blaster, even only a 195cc it surely had a lot of peep...untill i rode the z400 and we lined them up in my back yard..its about...300 yards long...after 10 races, 5 me on the z 5 my dad on the z...the blaster wouldn't even touch it, no way...I almost bought a 250R, but i don't want someone elses problems.
How much is the gas gas? are their any sites about them? Thanks for the info )

if you're looking at the gas gas for a trail machine, you'll have to narrow it some, the front end is a full 51" wide... but it is everything i was hoping someone would build for a long time now: a liquid cooled, power valved 2-stroke in a race frame with great suspension, & virtually ready to race right out of the box.
however there is a compay making narrower A-arms already of you want to make it a trail machine. the rear axle has spacers that can be changed for trail riding too.
price new on the 300 is about $7700.
