My dealer is quoting me $576 for one! I think that is way too high!!

Actually that sounds about right... I paid 589 for my contract.. You have to look at it this way..... The suzuki's come with a 1 year warranty out the door.....After that warranty is up this one kicks in.....thats 5 years of warranty on your atv... And it's also transferable. Which means more money for you when you go to sell it. If i didnt get it and the motor blows up in 3 years, I woulda been kicking myself in the @ss. IMO its worth it. That my opinion though...im sure people disagree

extended warranties suck. they are nothing but a way to get more money out of you. you have to follow the rules they put forth or your warranty is void. most of the warranties require you to get your atv serviced with the dealer. if you figure up the money for the services and the warranty, you will come out ahead not getting it. it's your money to use as you wish, but i would not do it. i am pretty sure if you jet it and put a pipe on it, you warranty is no good. the dealer that sold my friend a bigfoot kit for his vinson said they were not supposed to fix his axles when they broke because it wasn't stock or something like that. they will give you the run around.
