blaster or lt250

Definitely an LT250. The only advantage of a Blaster is that you could get a much newer one for the money. But with 2 strokes newer isnt really less likely to break down.
The LT250 has liquid cooling. 85-86 LTs are faster and 87+ LTs are way faster than a Blaster and they all handle WAAAAAAAAAAAAAY better.

I also agree Blaster would be best for you right now. The 2003 model had some great changes and would be the best bike for the money. The LT would be great for later on for project and for some real 2 stroke power

get the LT because before you know it youll hit a growth spurt and you will want something faster and bigger. I think that if you get the LT you will have an EXTREME weight advantage over bigger quads. i got my LT when i weighed in at 110lbs and you weigh 111,good weight advantage. i have gained 20lbs since then and i havn't noticed because i keep modding my LT. GET THE LT , YOU'LL LUV IT!

Hey HUEDOGG what maier plastics do you have on, do they fit good and instead of starting a new post I thought you could answer some of my questions, theyare cheap so thought I would look into them, did want a shee or raptor, was wondering how they do with jumps and tearing around a gravel pit, I will be riding with a couple blasters, one moddified, I also was wondering if you can wheely them, not just popping the wheels in the air, but holding it for a while, if anyone can answer some of my questions that would be great.

Hey Hammer, let me help a bit here. I have an 87 LT250 with Maier plastic. The plastic fit well and I am very happy with the thickness and durability. The factory hood didn't pop into the holes well enough to stay on so I ended up putting screws in it though, this was a factor of the thicker plastic. I own a Raptor also and have ridden numerous Banshees, and if you're doing gravel pit play and like to jump take the LT by all means. Banshees at least for me have that edgy power hit making it touchy to launch off a jump just right, and Raptors while having better suspension than the LT are much heavier. The LT wheelies pretty good too, I can hold the front up for a while and I'm a klutz. See my picture page for demonstrations! And you will smoke your buddies Blasters just for good measure. Hard to beat an inexpensive LT for value these days.

Cool, Thanks shady, They dont look so bad when you work on them a little, I didnt think I liked the looks at first, but after you shine that yellow plastic and put some chrome, and nice looking wheels on, I think I like it Ill think it over, still like the looks of the raptor but for the price, I dont think theres a better deal

anyone with atv experince can wheelie the blaster easily but i think it is pretty difficult to keep a LT up because you need skill or you will press too much gas and fall off the back. my buddy is a better driver than me and he was wheelying my LT and he said he pressed a little too much gas and i watched him fall flat on his chest because he had his right foot on the grab bar and his left on the shifter. personally i dont need to catwalk my LT,TOO DANGEROUS.period

I suck at wheelies. I’ve gone over backwards dozens of times trying to get my balance (did I mention I suck at wheelies) and have not been hurt yet.
I do think it’s a lot harder on a LT because its so much longer and you have to use more throttle to get the wheels up.
