Trading a Eiger for a Z400!!!!
Hey all, well the Eiger was my second Utility quad and I have just got the need for speed!!! I want the badass Z400!!! I have a 02 Eiger 4x4 Manuel and I was wondering what the trading deal would be with a Z400? The Eiger has about 450 miles on it, I know i couldnt trade even, how much more would i have to pay? The Eiger is in great shape except for sractches!!!

Not sure about your dealer, but the dealer here a guy came in with a 2002 400ex, mint condition..the stock tires looked like brand new. they offered him 2900 for it(kbb book value)
So i really doubt you will get anywhere near what you need out of your bike on a trade in.
KBB gives your bike a 2765 trade in value vs the near 5k you paid for it you will lose a ton of money on it.
The only way for you to get anywhere is if you sell your bike out right which is near impossible 90% of the time with the awesome fiancing deals offered.
Good luck no matter what you do.
SUre is a kick in the teeth to know what your bikes are worth after you pull them out of the show room. The z400 2003 is only worth 3250 trade in!

Dude, just B patient and sell the Eiger outwright, trade in value is much lower. This is mainly because when you trade a dealer an atv, car they want to give you wholesale price for the vehicle so that they can turn around and ask for retail price. That's part of dealerships, can't blame them, they have 2 make their money. Trade in would be my last choice. I am looking at getting a z400/kfx400 too hope. Hope this helps you and good luck getting that machine.

I agree that you should sell your Eiger and then buy a Z or whatever. You could ask a little under retail to sellit easier and still get more than trade. The dealers are less likely to go down on the price of something if you're trading. You'll save more money in the end. Good luck.
