is this a good deal?

Probably not. I see small late model utility quads go for 1700-2200 all the time here. In central Fl (that’s where I'm at) prices run high, probably because of the limited buying area due to the shape of the state and long distance to any border that doest go to ocean.
If your also in a secluded or minimal access state where prices run high and the quad looks and runs brand new, then it might not be a terrible deal. But it wouldn’t be a particularly good one either. I think they run around 3500$ brand new and a 2001 is at least 2 years old maybe 3.
