Default KQ front diff probs ...cont'd

The front diff problem I was experiencing in an earlier post with the front diff 'clunking' as it was dropping in and out of 4WD drive was in fact caused by the higher profile of the Duro Excavators I had fitted to the front. Although being the same size as the OEM Dunlops 24x8x11 the Excavators are a higher profile tyre. This was causing 'wind-up' in the drive train causing the 'dogs' on the gears I suspect to dis-engage and re-engage every 100 yards or so at 20mph. By puting a friends OEM Dunlop shod rims on my KQ eliminated the problem.

So guys and gals always make sure the aspec ratio of tyres you fit are the same as that of the OEM Dunlops originally fitted.
