Default Z400 frame update!

Well not really, if you're wondering about the 04's. I'm just posting on mine. I hit a tree today going at least 15 to 20mph through the air. I jumped a hill and a tree jumped in front of me and I hit it about three foot high and flew almost over the handlebars. I braced my arms and was in the superman position a few seconds before I bounced off to the side and luckily landed on my feet. Anyways about the first thing I did was check around the front shock mounts and they look like the day I got it. This was a pretty good lick I give that tree and I figured if it was gonna break from one impact this would have done it. I did pop some plastic out but it snapped back in easy enough. O.k. yesterday I raced at a little track around here and we ran almost 5 hours. We raced 6 or 7 races and there are some pretty good jumps and a little woop section on this track. My bike is still stock shocks and frame (no gussets yet but soon) and we ran a few 20 lap races and some shorter 10 lappers. Anyways we're mx wannabe's without the money for mods to get into it right now so we keep points and at the end of september we'll tally up our scores and have a winner who gets a whopping all you can eat meal at a authentic mexican restaraunt at town. Anyways there's about twenty of us that race and I'm tied for first with a raptor and a piped 400ex. This makes my third week of this abuse and my frame has still held. I know it ain't smart to not have it reinforced but I just haven't had time with work 12hours at least a day. The point is it's took this abuse and so far it's alright. I was afraid the axle might bend or something but it's held to. A banshee flipped and rolled today and has a severe case of missing plastic and bent handlebars but all these bikes have took the abuse so far pretty good. If mine cracks with these conditions it's my fault and I don't expect suzuki to fix it. Good luck fellow z's, kfx's, and artic something another's.

Default Z400 frame update!

Sorry for the long post (all of mine usually are) but I thought I'd do some bragging about are little homemade track a bunch of us made together with my friends backhoe and bulldozer service. I thought I'd kind of give you an idea what some z400 frames can take, especially with all the negativity they've got, while braggin about are track. It's pretty nice and more people have come every weekend.

When the frames on the KFX/Z 400 get updated? I will probably soon be getting a 03 KFX.

Yeah there are some pics on here. Go to the suzuki forum and just go back through the older posts and see someone that talks about their frame cracking and look under his gallery or click the little camera under his name. Some will say I have pics.
