Roostthrower, you should really wait till you start driving to bag on cars. No.1 the Lightning is one fast truck even with the auto, and No. 2 you've never experienced a punched out 327 sittin' in front of a 2-speed powerglide w/shift kit and a 411 rear-end, rollin' smoke off the tires, as it drops back into first gear, punchin' it at 60mph on the highway. By the way, did you know that you don't use a clutch to drive semi's, except to stop and go? So next time you see a big burly trucker jump out of a Peterbilt w/a 650hp cat motor and 18 gear tranny, tell him he's a girl cuz he don't use a clutch. He!! my bike has a clutch that doesn't get used when I'm rippen through the gears standin' it up or drag racing. Watch motoworld one night, and watch the pro's, they rarely clutch it either. So if YOU must have a clutch to race, maybe you're the novice. Go suck on momma's breast awhile longer and come back when you've grown up a little. suzukiz250kid is only a year older than you and is twice as mature, what's you're problem, daddy not love you enough.

Sorry to rip so hard but man you had it comin'. RPM was tryin' to be nice and you ripped on him, too.
CAN'T WE ALL JUST GET ALONG?..................Now I'm smokin' it.

August 2003 ATV Rider Magazine - 250cc Sport Comparison.

1st Place - Suzuki Z250
2nd Place - Kawasaki Mojave
3rd Place - Yamaha Blaster
4th Place - Honda 250EX

The Z250 won this comparison by a Large margin. 7 out of 10 riders of varying skill levels chose the Z as the better quad.

This is just some of what they had to say:

"In a worm track complete with whoops and banked, sandy corners, which we found at Ocotillo Wells, the Z handed an ***-kicking to both the EX and the Blaster."

"At increased speeds, it has more stable handling than all but the Mojave, with a slighty bouncy ride like the Honda but better damping."

"In fact, like the Mojave, the Suzuki is the only one we felt comfortable on near the limits of it's motor. thanks to good sport tires, the Z sticks to the ground well and composes itself when turning hard."
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
roosthrower,

The fact is that all of the great power and speed that the Blaster's 2 stroke engine produces, is hampered because of the antiquated Chassis, Suspension, and most of all the tires, and up until the 2003 model, the Brakes were practically non-functional.

Now to discuss your crazy ideas about Cars and Trucks. I live in the world of FAST Cars and if you truly believe that in order to go fast you have to shift, then you are in for a rude awakening. The sport of Drag Racing is DOMINATED by Automatic equipped cars. The Fastest accelerating vehicles on the planet, use their Clutch to do a burnout, back up, and stage. There is No shifting during the run. If going 4.5 seconds at over 330mph in a vehicle that you don't have to shift makes me a Girl, then you can call me Kitty.

You have a lot of growing up to do, so I won't give up on you just yet. The fact is that new, improved, faster, better handling quads are being built every year. Look at the new YFZ450, it appears to be one Bad-A** machine. Does that make everything else useless? No, it just means we have one more option. The same is true for your Blaster.

I know, more Nice-Nice. See the Therapy is working

automobiles and quads are two different things. You don't see any real dirtbikes or street bikes without clutches.

For starters, I'm Not a "Suzuki people", I'm a Quad person, I would own one of each if I could.

ATV Rider is a Nation wide publication that is about a year old.

The Test included riders ranging from Novice to Professional, and the fastest lap times were turned in by the Z and tha Mojave. Not MY results, Theirs.

Last but not least, You seem to like to pick and choose which vehicles are OK to be Autos and which aren't. When you are all over the map with you opinions, it tends to discredit your argument.

Oh the Youths of today, aren't they just a kick. All that energy, and no direction.

I guess we'll have to wait and see what the year end numbers look like in sales.....? I personally know of 3 z250's sold in the last week alone at the same dealer(me being 1 of them) and I don't think any of the people in there were pissed off because there wasn't any blaster's left on the floor? The z250 is marketed for certain individual's, and is fitting the market like a glove! Unlike the blaster's maket fitting like O.J.'s glove! NuF said.... I used to race 80's from the time I was 7yrs. old to the time I was 16 crashed and burned and mom said 'No More". Now I'm 29 and haven't been on dirt since then and the wife is learning to ride too! The bike fits! Maybe "roost" you should take a breather and be happy that new people are getting into the sport and force yamaha to put a bullet into the head of the blaster, beacuase that's what seems to be happening to me...? You had it coming.

RPM, kudos on the hot topic reference. roost, chill out, no one would be against you if you weren't against the world. If you want to brag about the awesome power of 2-strokes, buy a zilla and I could respect that. But bragging about a LITTLE 200cc blaster is just funny. I've seen 750cc sport bike engines shoe horned into mojave's. NOW THAT"S SOMETHING TO BRAG ABOUT. 160mph on the salt flats.
No self-respecting adult over 200lbs gives a hoot about blasters. blasters are great for kids who weigh less than 125lbs or so. I think raptor 80's are bigger. Remember kid most of us on here barely remember being young enough to the blasters are cool. I know they were badazz back in like 1990, you were what 1yo. They were out dated by the time you were 3. Honda stopped making the 250r in '89 I believe, only 50 more cc than your beloved blaster, and a new modded blaster probably still couldn't touch an old beater 250r. So, be happy that you have a quad YOU like, get some self confidence, and quit looking to others to build your self esteem or ego, which ever it is your trying to feed.

If I throw a stick, will you leave?
