Get a LT250R! Tha frame and suspension are 95% as good, they are faster mod for mod and will cost 1/3 to 1/2 as much as the Honda 250R will.

Be sure though to buy a 1987 or newer one of you do get an LT250R.. They have the powervalve cylinders and they can be built up a little easier.

Actually, truth be known, I think the LT frames are better than the TRX (Honda) ones are. The only really bad thing about the LT's are teh footpegs. The mounting design kinda bites...

i found an 88 lt250r for 1700.the mods are bored .40 over,,jetted, its been ported and
polished too, shaved head so it only runs on vp fuel unless u buy a factory one
from ebay which i saw them going for like $60 then u can run regular gas..i
never done so because it runs cleaner on vp,..k & n air filter, fmf pipe and
silencer. and i think thats it thats it...the tires are in ok condition they
still have plenty of riding time..i have extra plastics front and rear, extra
sprocket, manuel on quad and some extra lugs, possibly a helmet and goggles,u will
not be disappointed with this quad.every where i went it turned heads and always
got compliments.i think thats about it.all it needs is a rotor(im assuming rear brake)and chain.tell me what you guys think.BTW,are these quads good on tight trails and hairscrambles??

P.S.does anybody know what shipping would run from rhode island to ohio.i could probably drive and get it.how long of a drive is it hours??miles??thanks

VP is only necessary if you have a high compression motor from either a shaved head or Cool Head. VP has many different types of Race Fuel for just about any motor out there. I run VP110 which is a 103 Octane, leaded gas. The benefits is more power, burns cooler, and less fouled plugs.

Unless your on a budget. Go with the Honda 250R. It's a much better bike all the way around.
There's a reason why a 88 honda costs twice as much as a 88 lt250 But if your
on a budget, The Suzuki will do.
