Default Modifications to the 376cc Engine of a Eiger.

I was thinking about something, I want to make a really mean Eiger. I was wondering if you could take the Engine out. Bore it out, forged piston, Shave the Head, port and polish, and cam? Also is it possible to put in bigger Valves? I would really appreciate any comments or information!!!!

You could do it but . . . . You could also sell the Eiger, add in the money you would spend to hop it up and buy yourself a brand new Vinson. Probably have enough $$$ left over from the projected Eiger mods to do a few options on the Vinson too.

I only have $700 Bucks to spend on this project, so I think the Vinson is out of the question!!! Although I love the Vinson and you have a good idea lol.

A deep muck puddle dunking and some missed grit on the air filter caused me to have to bore out my Eiger to 20 over. Used a Suzuki kit - the whole process set me back right around $400. My Eiger is now 378cc, not enough to make any difference.

I suspect that $700 would not be enough to bump your Eiger up into "monster" territory. By the time you did spend a monster amount, you'd be well into the price range of not only the Vinson, but others like the P650.

BTW - How do those Vampires work for you? I'm sure they're great in mud - How do they do on regular trail riding? Steering feedback?

I remember reading in a magazine that the Eiger motor was just the old DR-350 dirt bike motor with a new bottom end and a bigger bore. That means that a cam and maybe a big bore kit for that bike might fit.

My Tires work great in mud, ride like stock tires, and have better steering than stock tires. But theres one thing the Vamps cant stand and that is SAND, you can barely steer the quad in sand!!! But I dont have much sand here so Im not worried about it. Anyway my Automechanics Teacher said he would bore cylinders for me, $20 a cylinder. How much can you bore a 376cc engine before the walls get too thin? RedRooster I havent heard anything about it, I will check on it though!! I apreciate the applies guys!! hah it rymes!!
