230 E questions
I just bought a 230 e Quadrunner today for $400 other then needing a choke and a valve job and some cracks in the plastic it seems like a good deal. Kind of a winter project. My question is.... Are there any common problems I should be aware of. I already have a polaris and the reilabilty has been great with the exception of some self induced problems. ya know handle bars bent rims that kinda thing lol thanks in advance for any info you can share

These bikes are known for throwing chains for a few reasons:
bad swingarm bearings that allow play in the rear.....pops chain off.
incorrect chain slack set at adjustment.(should be 1.0-1.5 inches sitting on it after adjustment.)
When the chain pops off it usually puts a hole in the case near the front sprocket.
Other than that isssue they are rock solid. I have owned many Quadsports and they are awsome.$400 is a good deal if it's not too beat.
GOOD LUCK !!

What year is it? You should buy a case saver before you throw the chain and crack your motor case. The only other "defect" they have is a weak point in the frame on the upright between frame rail and spine. If you are going to be doing a lot of jumping I'd have it gusseted before you crack it.
