Need an airbox for a 92 LT250R
#1
I don't venture onto the Suzuki board too often, but my buddy is looking for a used airbox for his '92 LT250R. If anyone has one or knows where to get one, please PM me. He is having a heck of a time jetting it in and the local shop said it would be a good idea to put an airbox back on instead of running an open element. The head is ported, but it was done before he purchased it so he is not to sure how much else was done. Right now, it runs fine until you open it up hard and then it dies and is hard to start. After a week of riding on the sand, it will not start unless we pull start it. I would sure appreciate any advice you all have on this as I am out of my element when dealing with 2-strokes.

I have a stock air box off a 1987 lt250r w/ k&n airfilter I think that it will work on the 91 lt250r but check for sure.

the '87 won't work the rear suspension is completely different on the 91-92 LT, the airbox is located behind the rear shock.
for a brand new '91-92 airbox, it's going to be about 175-200 from a dealer... they are rare.

i have an airbox(91-92), i was debating parting out the quad and now have made up my mind. the airbox is brand new, it's just been sitting on a shelf collecting dust. i bought it becase i was going to rebuild the quad and now have changed my mind. i will have other parts for sale too most of them i will put on ebay. it cost me 175.... make me an offer if you are interested. it includes all the internal parts(including filter & snorkel), rubber boots, etc.
