Default ******* out?????

i have a 91 lt 250 that likes to dog out on steep climbs. i just got the quad and it runs great starts first kick every time. it has prolite piston, hot rod crank , fmf pipe and other work into it , but when i take it to the pits it wants to dog out on the steep climbs even if it's revved out.i am pretty sure its a carb problem but dont know to much about jets and that.any help would be appreciated.

does it only do it while climbing hills or does it do it on flat ground when you hit the top end?

It sounds like a def. carb problem. Two possibilities: You're main jet is wrong or you're floats are not set at the right level. Check you're plug, if its black or dark brown then you need to go with a smaller main jet, if it looks white or partially melted go with a larger main jet. to adjust the level look at mikuni's web site they should have a guide
