what was your first four wheeler. I would pick up a used 300ex before I dropped 3800 on a new z250. If driving a clutch is a problem buy the 300ex any way. You will learn how to use it in an hour or less.

It seems as though it fits you. the 250 is a good choice for a no nonsense reliable quad. I have read good things about it on this forum.

I'm 5'7" and 120 pounds, and the Z250 is right for me. It is my 2nd quad also. Haven't had any problems with it yet. I'd stay away with something that has a clutch until you get used to how a sport quad handles and performs.

Well, Im 15, 5'8", 110 pounds (thats right, lightweight here). I went from an LT80 to a KX85, to a Z400. No problems. The clutch sucked at first, but it was expected. I love the clutch, now riding is made much easier. I dont know what Id do without a clutch. It becomes second nature to use the clutch when riding, I dont think about it when shifting. Comming out of corners, you let it out slow and rev the engine, the power is transfered, just not in brute, wheel spinning power, very nice if its geared a tad high. You might just want to go straight to the Z400.

You will be suprised by the performance of the Z250. The motor, while not being a tire spinning monster, has good power and seems to pull right up to the shift point. It has a very stable feel to the suspension, and for someone your size, should do real well for you. As far as reliability goes, it, just like the Ozark 250 is prooving to be a tough durable machine.

Don't let anyone fool you into thinking that to be a real "Man" you have to be able to work a manual clutch. The only difference between the Z250 and a Manual Trans Quad is One Clutch Lever.
