i ordered a high compression piston that was supposed to be standard bore but they must have sent me the wrong one. It says std. bore on the box but it's definitely to big to fit in the cylinder without boring. these are the specs on the box. it's a je piston

bore- 3.701
stroke- 2.456
comp. height 1.000
piston weight- 276

are these the specs of a stock piston and they put the wrong piston in the box? or the right box and piston with wrong order form?

any help would be appreciated

What kind of machine is this going into? Is your cylinder stock? If this stock piston does not go in a stock bore...someone has obviously screwed up

 

it's a z400. the cylinder is stock. i know that they messed up. I already have a new piston of the right size in my bike i was just wondering how much bigger the other piston is in case i ever wanted to bore out my bike and put that one in.

 

A 3.700 bore seems extremely large for a 400!!! The bore size out of my 500 is apprx. 3.400

 

Boy I'd like to help ya out but I'm really not sure!! Let me ask ya...where did you get it from??

 

ALba yep the screwed up but I got two pistons for the price of one.
