The Z250 is a really great quad. This winter I'm getting a full yoshi exhaust and a K&N Powerkit. Eventually I'm getting it boared out to somewhere in the 300-350cc range. Then I'd like to see a Z400 or 400EX keep up.

Hey can you show me to some sites or links that have modifications for the Z250 I am planning on putting some good mods on mine I wanna know where to get them? where can i find the full yoshi exhaust or k&n power kit??
what do you mean by "boared out"
what do you mean by "boared out"

K&N doesn't have anything for the Z250, but I heard that they are working on stuff. The full yoshi exhaust can be found at Moto-Race .And bored out means increasing the engine displacement by making the cylinder sleeve larger so is can accept a larger cylinder, thus going from 250cc to 350cc

k thanx! lol I am still lookin for good ideas to do to my Z myself I dont know of too many mods they make for it now. So I was just wonderin do you know how much have it boared out cost you? would just a regular ole' ATV shop do it for you ??

I'm not sure how much it would cost to get is bored out. I am having a friend of my grandfather do it for me. He builds engines for high performance pulling tractors. Not many people can bore out an engine. It takes a special machine and a highly trained mechanic to operate the machine. Many companys sell a kit that increases the displacement (i.e Yoshi makes a kit to increase the displacement of a Z400 to a 440). But they are expensive, around $1000. As far as I know, nobody is making anything for the Z250 yet, thats why I am having it custom done by a engine builder.
