i was wandering if anybody knows some REALLY cheap mods for a stock z-400 that would make a noticeable diff.

13t sprocket 7 bucks and a simple install

K&N kit , remove lid and re-jet

and the cheepest is to find a big hill and go down , it will really make it faster

I'll second the sprocket. I hardly ever use first gear when riding anymore.

 

remove airbox lid and install bigger main jet.

13t will loose top end, how often are you toped out though?

I like the hill remark also.

 

I would recommend the jet kit from Alba, you'll get the adjustable needle, the 25 pilot jet, and a main jet of your choice. Also adjust the air screw. Remove the snorkle baffle and the thing mounted to the underside of the lid, the screen behind the air filter, a UNI or other aftermarket filter, and some kinda extra hole in the airbox lid. You can also drill the muffler end cap out for a better sound.

 

best bang for the buck so far was my steering stablizer. HUGE difference!!!!!!! I will never ride without one again. [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif[/img]
