Ask him if he has done anything about the "main bearing boss's" when he did the rebuild.

If he asks, "what are those?" Ehh.. Id think about it real hard.

Also, ask him what he means by "new tranny". Along with all bike motors, the tranny is part of the engine.
When someone says "yea, its got a brand new tranny". (referring to a bike or quad motor) It makes them
sound like they dont know what they are talking about. Just make sure hes honest......
