the cylinder is in the shop for a re bore so i was thinking of having the head shaved. and how much should i get shaved off? and how much more power will it give the engine. i still want to run on pump gas (92 OCTANE).

The manual says you can run 89 octane so if you are running 92 now you could get a slight power increase by going to the correct fuel.

I shaved mine on my 86 .020”. It gained more power than a aftermarket pipe. I also run 87 octane even though it’s higher comp and is supposed to run 89 minimum stock. On 87, it has way more power than on 93 octane.
