There are virtually no differences in the chassis's except maybe the welds/gussets are stronger on the 88+. Engine wise I have heard that the 87s had a bigger reed cage and MAYBE different gearing. Other than that I think that's the only significant difference.

If I am wrong someone help me out.

Its works awesome but its a topend pipe. I will probably FMF fatty for some more lowend.
Also for the 85-86 LTs the pipes from LRD aren't adjustable.

They 87 engine is virtually the same as the newer ones. The 85-86 engines were the odd ball ones.

Here are some places that do engine work on them.

CT Racing
Duncan Racing
FTZ Racing
LRD Performance
Trinity Racing

I'm sure their are some lil shops that other guys go to, but I don't know of any, you would pry have to ask a few guys on here.

I know I should have just added this on to my previous post BUT I didn't.

Here are some places that have chassis modifications and parts

HSD Racing (Mark is THE man to go to IMO for LT handling upgrades)
Lonestar Racing
Laegers Inc. I think just makes swingarms for LTs now.

Hope this helps

Hey Bigair, if you're still making up your mind, I'd get the 250 if you're thinking more in terms of air and wheelies. I'm 6 foot 200 lbs and mine fits me real well. When I jump on anything heavier like our Raptor, the jumping is just more difficult than the lightweight LT250, and getting air is my favorite thing.

Where can I buy the seal water pump or the water pump of a Suzuki LT 500? Is it normal that the temperature raises very fast when going slow ?? Whats the CHT ?? I want to buy a temp. gauge to control the temp because it overheats very easily
