Default racing my z250.

I was thinking about racing my z 250 this saturday at a motorcross race. does anybody have an opionion on whether it is powerful enough to compete. Any and all feed back is appreciated.

it all depends on what you're racing against. If it's a group of trx250r's and big 400 thumpers then you won't stand much of a chance

Default racing my z250.

It's all about the rider. There was one guy in one of these forums who beat a guy on a Z400 with his Z250. But yeah, if you are going up against 250Rs and 400's your pretty much screwed unless they suck and you have alot of experiance, or your just very lucky.

Default racing my z250.

I shouldn't have to race against any 400's. I am hopefully racing in the 350cc and under but i know there are still going to be a lot 4 wheelers there faster than me. But i am just out to have a good time. Winning is nice but i just love to ride. The course is a very techniqual course and top speed is rare for any quad at the track.

where i get most of my speed is coming out of a turn...i go in hard with a little brake and slam it out even harder

Thanks for the tip. I will try it and see if it works for me. Any other tips would be greatly appreciated.

Default racing my z250.

Going through turns and through the air, let the quad slither around underneath you. The object in turns is to try and get the straightes line through, and then rocket out of it, to where u arent pulling a wheelie, but arent spinning uncontrollably. use your weight to get the holeshot.
