Default What quad is best for me? Buying one very soon.

Hey im about to go up and look at some quads on saturday. Im hoping to bring another addition home. I currently ride my dads vforce 700. I love the power but i think i need something a little lighter. Im a beginner but i love to jump. We also make a few trips a year to the dunes so i need something that will keep up with dad.

Im 6 foot 2 and weigh about 180lbs. The dealership im going to carries honda, suzuki and yamaha. I talked to the guy on the phone and he said they have a suzuki 400 and a limited edition raptor (guess the plastics are all black). I am wondering if you guys think the z400 or the raptor would be a better quad for me. We will be doing drag racing in the sand and medium sized jumps. I need to have enough power to keep up and be competitive.

Thanks guys

Drag racing and keeping up with (or ahead of) a VForce? You're gonna need the Raptor. The Z is a great all around quad but for draggin' your gonna need more motor. JMO. I'm sure the Yamaha guys will be here to help ya out a little more. Look at the YFZ if price doesn't matter, but, from what I hear it maybe a little much for a beginner.........
