Those are some nice looking Lt's guys. It's fun to look at others Lt's. I need to update the picture of mine although it would be the homeliest one. I havent ridden mine for a couple months because a crack in the frame. I need to get it welded and get some riding in before winter. As far as which quad you should buy between the suz, hon and kaw, I dont beleive there are many parts for the tecate and the Lt250r's typically cost about half as much as a comparable trx250r. If you are going to motocross than go with the trx. If you are just haveing fun and are on a budget, go with the Lt.[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-cool.gif[/img] If you want a cool looking quad that is somewhat rare go with the tecate.

i bought an 85 about a month and a half ago
all i have on it so far is a wiseco piston and a fatty pipe with a flowmaster silencer
i did my own plastic work and i think it looks pretty sweet

it is a realy fast quad but there is not a whole lot of top end
i mean i rips down the trail but when it comes to the back rodes the banshee's just eat me up
i dont really mind though it is still fast and pretty as hell

i am 16 and i work like 6 days a week just to pay for this stuff
i havent even payed the thing off yet to my dad but i blew like 700 on it buyin the pipe and silencer and airfilter
i did alot of work on it just cleaning it up

 

i jsut bought a lt about 2 months ago that didnt run... took it to my local shop they said it only had about50 pounds of compresion and they wanted a grand to rebuild the motor and put seals in the bottom end i was like screw that lol !!! im totally redoing it for mx this winter.... im sending my motor to ftz they have gave me a good price and ive heard good things about them... there rebuilding the engine converting the piston to a yz type, new rod, new bearings and seal, new head and cylinder, port and polish, bigger carb and there fat @ss pipes for like 1700 which i thought wasnt bad.... how do lt frames hold up ive heard alotaa ppl say that there easy to crack? weres the stress points at on the frame?... i know the stock swingarms suck... mine as a huge crack going across the swingarm by the carrier and at the pivot point? who makes a good set of +2 a arms for it.... does a new swingarm come with a carrier and bearings? does anyone know if a set of 400ex spindles will work on one? ill post some pics of how it looks now soon and early next spring when its finished

i do not know how to post a picture of my quad racer will some one please post step by step directions?
will a lt250r do 70mph?and what sproket ratio is good for all arund power but mostly top end?

 

Are you using the LT250R ball joints with the R spindles?

 

i got myself 02 ozark and im looking to buy either a lt250 or an lt500... i can handle them ive been riding since i was six and im 13 now but i can get on just about any size quad and rip with it..[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-cool.gif[/img]

 

weres the bad place on the lt frames? ive heard there pretty easy to snap up buy the shock mounts. has anyone else had any problems with there frame breaking or cracking... odes anyone make a stering stablizer for them if so how much?
