Default Short shift lever on a Quadsport?

the shift linkage on my old lt230 sport is pretty sloppy. has anyone else tried a short shift lever? what did you use? i think i read somewhere that a Honda xr70 shift lever would work.
any ideas?

You have to get a shift lever with the same splines. I recently bought a 230 and the person who had it before me put a regular lenght Englo shifter on it. The splines on the shifter were slighlty to large causing the splines on the shaft to wear. I used reverse lever on my old 230 when I snapped the stocker on a trail. I would try and get a Suzuki shifter to match the splines. Maybe an Rm60 or 80. Im going to cut the spline part of the reverse lever an weld it to another cut down shifter, if I can't find a substitue.
