55 hp at the crank and 379 pounds dry weight. maybe old school engine but still the fastest stock quad ever from a factory. youll know if you happen to meet one on the trail with your ds650 ,raptor, v-force, yfz 450 or anything else . the name says it all: QUADZILLA and just like the monster godzilla it will crush anything that come at it and the aftermarket can turn it in an absolute monster. and with 55hp at the crank a 500 cc two stroke engine is considered in a very mild state of tune. so much room for horspower!!!

hey I just wanted to say that I'm not real sure about the LT but my tecate w/ a kx500 motor " milled head custom fat pipe and mild port work is making 93hp
So your saying a stock Kx500 motor produces what... 75hp in stock form?

the 87' LT 500 had more hp than 88' thru 90' ,due too reed design, 8 pedal to 6. it varies from each one im sure.from 48 to 52hp would cover the hp ratings.some just run better than others my 89' lt 500 ran diffferently from my 2 friends lt500's, there's an 88' & 89' the84' & 85' honda cr500 had 60hp & 50tQ in stock form. thats as good in my books.KTM had a 540 & 550's 2-strokes mxer's. im sure they had 50+ hp. ive ownd a 93'kx500 with a fmf pipe & sil'. it felt the same as my lt500 with the fmf kit with the 4 pedal reed cage . killerkxf with your 93hp tecate it must only go straight down the line.ever trail ride with it, i'm sure it s fun. the 273 tecate must have 90hp.ha!
