This has nothing to do with quads but i just need to give you some amusement
My friend is full of Sh#% he bought a 00' i think RM125 2 stroke. I couldn't go riding one day and he said he went 80mph. Which immedatly i didn't believe. I said he'd have a hard time beating my warrior but he said he could smoke my banshee (see sig). The thing i told him that he'd be lucky to hit 60 but he wouldn't believe me. But how fast do the stock RM125s go? Hopefully i'll get out one of these days with my GPS and banshee and clock him. And then smoke em.

well i dont know much about dirt bikes, but i nearly got smoked by a 10 year old on a kx 80, admitidly i was only on a trials bike but it was a 250,
do not underestimate the power of the 2 wheel 2 stroke,
i rider a zilla and my misses keeps saying why dont i get a crosser, all i say is NO FU-KN WAy,
there strictly for the insane and kids who dont know any better,
he will kill your warrior and if your both matched skills wise hell probably give your shee a verry good run for your money,

My '86 kx80 would 65mph, no prob, Almost 70mph with a good high octane premix. A 125 has nearly twice that power. My friends '91 Rm125 had pipe and reads and would hit around 90mph, don't know about stock. 2 stroke bikes don't f*** around, though.Your shee will have trouble hangin' with a stock 125 bike. Bikes have half the weight, and half the resistance. Good luck though, you'll need it.

In a dirt drag that Rm willSMOKE your banshee off the line, and by the time you get traction he'll be gone. Just by nature of the machine the dirtbike will win. On asphalt now thats another story. My friend has a decked out Duncan banshee(about 10-12 grand invested), and in dirt drags on my Yz125 I'd walk him because he couldn't get the same amount of traction I could. On asphalt though I'd jump him of the line, but once he hit 2nd-low 3rd he'd WALK me. Plus you also have to figure in power to weight ratio's. Thats a 210lbs. 2 stroke putting out in the neighborhood of 32-37 hp. and your Banshee is figurin' in in the neighborhood of 350-400lb and approx. 45-50hp(? not sure about hp on a Banshee?) There's just no comparison of the line, but once the quad is up to speed its a different story.

My (well just sold it to my friend) kx125 is completly stock, on the asphalt, over a distance of 1/4 mile i will only beat it by 2-3 bike lengths on my racer. So i would have to say a completly stock 125 is capable of hitting 75mph.
weight of bike: 214 pounds
weight of racer: 324 pounds
We both weigh the same give or take 5 pounds.
