the z400 has an awesome top end, it feels like a whole new gear when u nail the throttle if ur goin half throttle, but the ex has a bit of a better bottom end.

For $5.00 you can do the "Power for Pennies" mods and have more low end power than you'll ever need for trails.

And MBrooks, I haven't seen or heard anything about the actual frame breaking, do you have any pics of this? And if it is the frame breaking, how does a gusset at the welded joint fix the problem like everyone says it does?

What is the "Power for Pennies" mod? I did a seach for it but nothing came up? Am I missing something good here???

Drill out the pea shooter, 145 main jet, #4 washer (approx 1/16in. thick) on the needle valve to raise it slightly, remove snorkle and that piece of plastic on the bottom of the air box lid (easiest is to drill out the 6 plastic rivets) and back the air adj. screw out a 1/2 of a turn. Search google for "power for pennies" it should come up. The low end gains are more than I expected.

had to say what i think which is the z400 is basicly a modded ex for same price and looks better
