quaracer????????????????????????

i was wondering how much faster would a new model quadracer be with the 6 speed and powervalve
would it be much faster or just accelerate better ?i figured the final gear would be about the same just the others would be a bit closer
i have an 85 and i paid about 1200 for it and then fixed it up cleaned it and got a k&n and a fatty pipe
it has fairly new tires and a wiseco piston i though if i got my money out of it a guy has an 87 with a rebuilt engine and the bike is in a bit better shape with no pipe though
mine is good but missing rear caliper and has the engine mount cut along with small cracks on the frame
plus the a-arms are all bent
i was just wondering if it would be worth starting all over again with a new quad before i get too much money into this one
i drive around with 2 banshee's and would like a little more zip when i ride

if urs has cracks in the frames, missing a rear caliper, bent a arms i would for shure go with the 87... its a better bike makes a lil more power, and is more dependable... but i would get rid of the stock shibby swingarm and get a aftermarket... there not very strong lol... im gettin ready to send my motor off to ftz racing.... maybe thell make a banshee eater out of it lol
u maybe able to keep the k&n for the 87 but not the pipe
good luck

the other quad is the frame with wheels and everything and then the engine is in a box and there is no pipe i dont belive
it is not like my present bike is horrible like 5 minuits of welding would fix the frame and then there is just simple things that would be wrong with anny 20 year old quad
i am not worried about the condition becasue they would both take about the same amount of money to get them mint
i was just wondering if it would be worth getting the 87 with the 6 speed and powervalve also it has an aftermarkd swingarm it just says free floater on it
if i get the newer one it would take a pipe tires and then do the plastic again not including annything that it might need like pads or levers or brake lines bolts
the only thing about it better then my current one is the year and the frame it might not run good or annything
either way they will both take some cash
but if i keep the one i have i can get the engine tuned then get extended a arms my swing arm is already reinforced and then get handlebars and stuff
i just was wondering if it would be worth it
because now i am happy but with another gear it would be nice and beter handling
this is probably confusing but that is what my brain is like right now

I can easly weld the frame and make it better then a stock one would be annyways
and with the a arm problem no matter which quad i had i would probably go with extended a arms
same with handlebars brakes and whatever
i would end up buying aftermarket parts for both of them no matter which one i had i just wanted to know how much better the new models are
because i can just get this engine tuned up nice if it is not a large difference
i was wondering what handlebars most of you use on your quads becasue the ones i have are huge and make it a real chore to race around a tight track
also i was wondering about a thumb throttle i hate my twist i hit a jump and when i landed went straight into the woods , I cant even stand up and do a catwalk without killing myself almost

Ive owned both machines an 85 and a 92 the 87 only has minor differce than the latter models, u should be able to use the plastic for both machines, the rear suspension on the newer ones is tones better. The main thing i like is i was always grabbing for 6th gear on my old one. SO if you dont need the top speed you probubly should keep rippen the 85 around and put a little money in it, the outher machine sounds like it may be a major project if the motors in a box..
Good luck!!
