Does anyone know the fastest year for the LT R? I know it wasnt 85 or 86, but what was it?

 

I think they all run the same after 86. The 87s had a bigger intake but the reed cage restricted it back to the same size passage. Otherwise, there is not much difference. If any year was slower/faster I would suspect the 87s because with the different cylinder the porting may have also been different.

 

The LT250R's 85 and 86 didnt have powervavles or a 6th gear so i would asume that they are much slower, i have the 87 and it is one of the fastest because it has the bigger port design, if you jet it correctly, and put on an k&N, u can make a deadly machine out of an 87. my buddy has an 85 and my machine will whoop him bad [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-cool.gif[/img]
