I was just reading a site about the z and it said a 175 watt generator comes standard with the z. If so where is it and how do you use it. I dont have one yet but im getting an 04. Just want to learn all i can

It isn't a generator like what you would plug electrical appliances in. It probably has a 175 watt electrical system which would provide power for the ignition, headlights, taillight, and then you could add a couple additional aftermarket lights if there is enough wattage left. I think thats probably what they meant, but I'm not 100% sure.

My Z250 does about 54. Already too slow for me. Wish I got the Z400.

SuzukiZ250Kid, I wouldn't put a dime into the 250. Cut your losses and get an LTZ400. Sounds like you need alot more bike.

Zoller, Suzukiz250kid was correct on the wattage. That is what the stator puts out for power to run the lights, etc. When adding other items that drain power, try not to even go to the max of 175 total. A little wattage needs to be left to insure the battery stays fully charged, about 25-30. Dont worry about asking questions. We all had to do it at one time or another and we still do now. Remember the only dumb question is the one you didnt ask Bubba

Predfan, I would of got a Z400, but I thought the Z250 would be plenty, and right now I'm working on buying a truck (I get my license in 6 months), so I can't afford to get a 400. And most of the mods. I have listed I am getting for Christmas I hope, so they aren't really costing me any. So for the next couple of years it will work just for screwing around on I guess.
