It isn't a generator like what you would plug electrical appliances in. It probably has a 175 watt electrical system which would provide power for the ignition, headlights, taillight, and then you could add a couple additional aftermarket lights if there is enough wattage left. I think thats probably what they meant, but I'm not 100% sure.

Zoller, Suzukiz250kid was correct on the wattage. That is what the stator puts out for power to run the lights,etc. When adding other items that drain power, try not to even go to the max of 175 total. A little wattage needs to be left to insure the battery stays fully charged, about 25-30. Dont worry about asking questions. We all had to do it at one time or another and we still do now. Predfan, I would of got a Z400, but I thought the Z250 would be plenty, and right now I'm working on buying a truck (I get my license in 6 months), so I can't afford to get a 400. And most of the mods. I have listed I am getting for Christmas I hope, so they aren't really costing me any. So for the next couple of years it will work just for screwing around on I guess.
