I saw on Speed world that Suzuki has an all new totally aluminium 450 DIRTBIKE to hit the show rooms next fall. Maybe they will put the same power plant in a quad frame to keep up with Yamaha and Honda. I certainly hope so. We all know Suzuki definately has the technology to to stay ahead of Yamaha, and Honda if they choose to. We'll see I guess next year.

ok one question honda and technology isnt tht bad grammer or just false information all the other quads have is the basicly a bored out engine so get a 440-450 kit in the z and the yamaha will be about the same

maybe for the third year they'll fix the Z400 up a little the same way they fixed up the LT250R in 1987... basically a completely new more powerful engine, wider dimensions, new (crappier) swingarm, improved frame, seat, ect... stuff like that.
the best would be two different models of the Z400. one with reverse and electric start and a wide seat and all that stuff... and another with a more powerful engine like the motocross DRZ400 or the new 450, no electric start, a short and narrow seat, no lights, no reverse, wider and lower, stronger components like the swingarm and axle.... instead of making a whole new quad that would cost the company so much... sure, it would still be behind the YFZ and probably the '450R' but it would probably be cheaper. while they're at it, put on some motocross style bars and a twist throttle. it would kinda be like what plymouth did to the sattelite to make the roadrunner in the 60s. an existing model stripped down to the bare essentials, modified for performance with mostly existing parts. it was succesful for them.

let me tell you something suzuki has made some of the best quads ever from the zilla to the z400 they are hands down awesome bikes. The 450 i would like to see,but like mahnster said it's a little early, but when they do come out with another i would expect it to better than the yfz and trx. There just waiting around for yamaha and honda to see how it goes, then make theres bigger and better than both.

by looking at the RM-450, I would bet that Suzuki will pick up where Cannondale left off. Things like the aluminum frame and fuel injection may find their way onto a quad.
They would definitely be foolish not to offer this quad for next year.

Dont get your hopes up for next year, it wont be till August of 2004 that that RM-Z 450 will be released. I bet Suzuki will wait till their Z400 sales drop, then get a new quadracer into production.
I hope that new RM stomps the YZs and CRs. At least Suzuki has something to go by, not a "myth" like Hondas TRX 450...
