Default How to remove 92 lt 250R bearing carrier?

I have a 92 LT 250R and im trying to remove the axle bearing carrier so that i can use the axle on my 86 but I cant seem to get the axle to slide out of the carrier.Any solutions would be great. I was also curioius if the a arms on a 92 were the same as the 86 i was thinking about putting the 92 a-arms on the 86

The arms are different. What do you mean about the carrier? Do you mean out of the swingarm or the axle from the carrier?

best way is to leave it in the swingarm, loosen the bolts on the adjuster remove the nuts on both sides remove the sprocket assembly and use a rubber mallet to pound it out towards the brake side. if its rusted in the center tube use some w-d40 or something you can spray in ther and let it sit, if you have more trouble you can remove the carrier put it in a clamp and heat it but you may fry the bearings that way.. But you may want to just repalce your bearings anyway. youll need to heat it to remove and replace them. Good luck!! i just did bearings on my girls 92 and replaced the carrier not to major........

sometimes when trying to pull the axle from the carrier the stock chain brake guard hits the rotor making it seem like it is stuck in the carrier, and actually it is just being limited by the guard.
