Z400 chain adjustment help!

Default Z400 chain adjustment help!


My adjustments are uneven and after an hour of playing with the bolts, they are only slightly better. anyone know how to get them back in line?

You have loosened all the pinch bolts? If I remember right there is 4 big ones and a smaller one. If you hav ethe bolts loose, count threads and you should be ok.
There is no disputing that its a crappy system. I am saving up for a new swinger w/ a round carrier.

It takes alot curse words and tool throwing to get them to line up perfectly , it takes me about 5 ***** fakers and one socket toss to get it right.

Default Z400 chain adjustment help!

DiD YOU TAKE OFF THE REAR CALIPER? EVEN WITH EVERYTHING LOOSE ITS STILL A PAIN. I HAD TO KICK THE SH-- OUT OF THE TIRES ON EACH SIDE TO GET IT TO MOVE.

Default Z400 chain adjustment help!

Make sure the back adjustment bolts are fairly even in turns then pull back on the axle. It should settle back against the adjusters. Then fine tune it slowly until you have correct tension.
This worked well for me.
