Eiger Question???????
#5
Been doing the 2wd/ 4wd switch for years with 'zuki's - first with a KQ and then with an Eiger. As long as you're not under load and pulling hard it will shift in and out easily. Basically just back off the throttle for a second as you shift into 4wd. I know, I know, the manual says not to do it but a few thousand miles and no problems tells me different.
Now, shifting from Hi to Lo is a different story - you must be at a complete stop for that one.

hah yea. I think I need to adjust my 4WD lever. It makes a buzzing noise while in 4WD and everyonce in a while I hear a pop noise like metal slamming together or something. When I first got it I could switch the lever from 4wd to 2wd and it would come out right then, but now I have to ride a while before it comes completely out. 4WD works fine but something aint quite right I dont think.

You can switch from 2 to 4 and back, as long as the tires are not spinning. I do it everytime I ride. Ride in 2 until I get to a mud hole, slow down, flip it into 4 and slam through the hole!

Your front diff is around $1200.00. Your little fingers that lock into four wheel drive will start to round off. Then you will here a poping noise. Then the side of your diff will blow off. Then you spend alot of money. That is why Suzuki tells you not to shift on the fly. The Hondas, Yamaha and Polaris you can shift on the fly.
