i wouldnt count on it
hillclimbing demands both of 2 worlds (TORQUE & RPMs) the 230 has plenty of RPM but not the torque.
If youve ever watched hillclimb bikes usually they run 500cc or bigger motors on the lightest frame possble.
personally i just dont think you can get the torque you would need from the 230
you might consider a lt500 quadzilla they got plenty of torque with relatively high RPM

Yeah the 230's are a very good bike for hillclimbing. Lower the gearing and get a new pipe, filter, and jets and it will surprise you.

I love my LT230S, the other day I was riding side by side with my buddy's Foreman 450 at 50MPH, he was just about maxed out but I could have gone faster. I'm over 200 pounds and I can easily beat him on my 230 both in takeoff and top speed. Not to mention by rear axle bearings are even bad!! I can't wait to really test it out when I get my bearings in (hopefully tomorrow).

what speeds have you other 230 guys gotten your's up to? And how far can you ride a wheelie? I can only ride one about 20 feet because I'm new to it.
