I just now noticed something in my book. It tells me that it will hold 2 qts of oil with out the filter and 2.2 qts with the filter change. Now I have been changing mine for sometime now and just peaked at the book and I was like WHAT??? I change my oil and everytime I change it, I change the filter. It takes 2 qts and 20 oz which is almost 3 qts. I warm the bike up and let it sit for some time and then check it and its always on the full line. Is this a typo or does anyone here only put 2.2 qts in their bike?

I noticed the same thing. I never measured how much extra I put in but I know it's more than .2.........

 

same problem here, i changed the oil after the break in period, put in 2, checked it, and it still read low, so i kept doing this, and i ended up adding like 2.6 quarts, and it read overfull after that, so i drained some, and now it reads ok.

when you check it, make sure that after you let it run and warm up, let it sit for atleast 3 minutes, as it says that in the manual.

But to say the least, i have never had a good oil change to where i put in the told amount of oil, and it never reads what it should.

not sure what to do with that...

 

It seems the machine really needs 2.5 qts.
