ohhh hehe i remember this problem. one of the original problems of the Z400.
the sqeaking of the rear brake is due to heat stress on a solid brake rotor. the rotors for some reason likes to warp a little when they get hot.
the fix. wait til yer pads grind down enough to not contact the rotor, or buy a new brake rotor.

rotor is probably bent, the stock skid plate won't stop a pebble from hitting the rotor, the half covering my brake rotor broke off after about 10 - 15 hrs., I just replaced the stock skid with a armidillo skid, it looks pretty beffy, I also put on a 13 tooth front sproket.
