suzuki says dry weight for the lt250r 87-92 is 324 not true. I work at a company that sells landscape products and used the scale to way my quad (91lt250r) it say 371 but i put on fmf pipe and silencer much lighter than stock how can that be? I do however have bandits on front and sherdders on rear and i added dg nerf bars but took off those heavy steel heel guards. That 371 was with half tank of fuel and full crankcase. what do think?

That sounds pretty heavy. The 85/86 LT250 has a claimed dry weight of 275

Roughly around 180lbs.
There is no way your atv weights 180 lbs unless you took the torch, and drill press to it. 125cc dirt bikes weigh more.

I weighed my 89 lt250r on a truck scale and it weighed 285 lbs. I have aluminum grab bar, bumper, nerf bars , and handle bars. I have an lrd pipe and silencer which is significantly lighter then stock. I dont have a head light mounted which shaves about 10 lbs already. I also removed the stock air box and run a k&n right off the carb. I hacked off those dumbo ear front fenders and removed the fender mounts ( dont crash or bye bye plastic !!). A truck scale is designed for high weights so it may be innacurate but i think its about right. I had gear oil and a little gas when i weighed it.
