Default LT250R Swingarm Skidplates ?

I have an 87 250 and my skidplate is toast. I know a couple of people who put aftermarket on and they get high centered all the time. Should I just get a factory and just keep bending it back after I slam rocks or does anyone have any suggestions on a Specific aftermarket that gives you good clearence

Any Replies Greatly Appreciated

The ground clearance under an aftermarket and OEM skidplate are very similar. The main thing affecting clearance under the axle is tire size.

Armadillo makes a real sturdy aluminum skidplate, I have one and like it very much. Rocky Mountain ATV sells them.

When the aftermarket isn't cut out between the sprocket and the disic I measure 3 inches of difference and I'm running 22x11x10 tires. All the aftertermarket I have experience with have been flat & bolted to the center section of the factory Mount .

I've got two stock ones I'll sell you them both for 50 or one for 30, + shipping. Awesome shape, the one even has the plastic chain slide things, very little scratches. I bought them for my 86 thinking I could fabricate them into working, decided to just buy a new one. Anyway let me know pm me or teoamaru@hotmail.com

The LT250R that I bought about a month ago has a Graydon Proline on it. Let me tell you, that thing is tough!!! I had to do some bending, hammering, etc. to straighten it out a little and it was hard to budge in any direction. I yanked my vice right out of my work bench trying to bend it back into perfect shape.

Just something to consider...

Here is a Google search result: Graydon Proline
