Well,,,you would probrably not be able to spin em (really good traction), and you will have a hard time turning (really good traction). Ive got them on my rap and they make me smile a lot. I think they would be too big and too aggressive for any 250 4 stroke.
I would not reccomend unless you need the protection of extra height and 6-ply rating

Believe it or not, the Z250's have no problem spinning those 22" Holeshot XCT's. As a matter of fact they throw up a nice roost, and get amazing traction, and look really nice too. These 22" tires are the lightest I've found in that size, and are only a few pounds heavier then the stockers. We have them on both quads, mounted on ITP T-9 10" rims and have absolutely no complaints. There was very little to no loss of low end torque, and a noticable increase in top end. Once we get our exhaust's we'll be pushing 60 or just over consistently. If you'd like Chewbacca, PM me, and I'll convert some of our miniDV video over to Windows Media 9, and send you some short video clips on how they perform on our quads.
And Yes: The Z400 rims mount right up with the Z250 lug pattern. That's what I had to referrence from when I got the T-9 rims and tires.

CHEWBACCA,
hard to tell you what type of tire to get, it would help us if you described your riding terrain and what you like to do when you ride, only then can a tire be matched to you.

Do you have alot of rocks on your trails or are they mostly dirt? If you dont have alot of rocks or thorns I would pick a soft holeshot, if you have lots of rocks and thorns I would get the pure sport bandit kevlar. The soft holeshot has better traction than the bandit, but the bandit is a very sturdy tire and is soo stiff it is virtually a run flat tire. I hate driving two hours to the place we ride only to get a flat so I usually get the bandits. I have ridden the holeshots and prefer them to the bandits for ride quality and traction.

I have 20" bandits and it takes a good amount of throttle or leaning to get them sliding. The traction is awesome but I don't know if I would recommend them for a 250 four stroke. They are kinda heavy and the increased traction might be too much for the smaller Z.
