Default Vinson Engine Brake

Do you Vinson owners feel the engine brake works very well on the automatic? I just read a review and the author said the engine brake did not slow the quad down one bit on a hill descent. just curious any opinions are apprciated.

I have an '03 Auto and the engine brake works AWESOME....a lot of times too well lol. In 2wd however...if your going down steep hills, the rear tires will slow so much as to cause the rear end slide around...hence you'll speed up going down hill with the effect that the engine brakeing isnt working...while it is working its just the rear tires are sliding down lol. In 4wd you can creep over anything...i actually find myself giving it throttle sometimes in 4wd while enginebraking...to keep from going too slow. But yet to sum it up the engine brake works great...one of the best on the market, imo. The vinny actually engine brakes better than my old Quadrunner 250 4x4...which is a manual shift.

I agree with SMS069 ..I think engine braking is about perfect 4x4 is a little to slow... unless your doing real slow rock crawling... think overall braking well balanced
