no it is not true. Honda just pays them more money for ads in the mag. I have a z250 and it is not hard to shift gears. THe z250 could beat a 250ex in a race. the reason it beat it is because they even said the z250 doesnt do good int the sand, which is where they did hte shootout. I like my z250 a lot!!!!

Yeah, DW is a messed up magazine. The Z250 doesn't shift hard, but it shifts a little bit different. You have to pull your foot up a little bit more than on some other quads, but nothing major. I don't have a problem with it. I really didn't even notice that it shifted a little different until I read something about it.

get a 400ex. it is alot better than the z250 and the 250ex. you could get a used 400ex for less than the cost of a new 250ex and a z250.

I sent them a email about that shootout! Asking them how much Honda paid them, for them to publish that bullsh-t shoot out. I told them if they all had a real job I guarantee that they would be buying the Suzuki with there own money. All I can say on there behalf NO RESPONSE! So that tells yah what the hell is going on behind the cover of the magazine!

that really is bullsht. when they were comparing the z250 and the 250ex, they would always say stuff about the ex and then say it about the z but like in a complaining way. they were complaining about how u have to turn a **** to engage reverse. they suck

That shootout was so messed up. They did say some good stuff about the Z250, but then they turned right around and made the 250EX look better. And another thing that makes me mad about the reverse thing, is that the Z400 is exactly the same, and when they reviewed that they liked it. I don't get the way that magazine works at all. After 5 years of subscribing to it I think I am letting this subscription run out.

the worst thing about that is it makes so much people be aholes just because they read it in dirtwheels and they believe its so reliable.
