I bought a 03 Vinson Auto the other day with a 2.5 waren winch, but this quad is not pre wired for the
winch, i looked at other 03 vinsons and they all seam to be pre wired for winch. The instuctions and
wireing in the waren winch are for suzkis that have prewireing. The complete wireing harness of the quad
is different, Thought i would only have to run hot wire to battery, but its a lot more to it. This job looks
like a real pain in the ***. It would not be bad in it had the factory wireing. Has anyone have the same problem with this??? and how bad is this job ? dealer told me he would do it for $336.00. I wanted to do it myself but the instuctions are not valid without prewireing.

my 02 didn't have any pre wiring.
Im not sure there is pre wiring on any of em.
Its not that tough of a job as it seems.
Just ask questions, and somebody on here should be able to answer em.

Hi, yes some 03 Vinsons have prewireing and all 04s have it . The winch and instructions only for prewired
quads. Did not come with 6ga wire to run. just dont know.

Hello,

I just bought an 03' myself and it wasn't prewired for a winch either. I had bought a Ramsey 3000 with wireless remote. It took a while, but pretty easy to do. I had to go buy longer cable since the cable that came with the winch was about a foot too short. It pretty much took all day, mainly because I would have to stop and go buy more hardware or something for installation. If you need any help, just ask and I will tell you how I did everything on mine.
