Hi I own a 2000 Suzuki Quadmaster 500. When I try to start it, it just turns and turns and doesnt even try to start. When I got it 1 week ago, it started up great, but slowly, it has become harder and harder to start. Now I cant even get it at all. I think it may have something to do with the choke, but I dont know for sure.

Also, it doesnt idle. When I get it to start(rarly) I have to continually give it gas or it will die. It will not idle or even try to idle at all. Please help I need to go hunting this weekend! [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif[/img]

 

Take the carb. apart and clean it. I think your slow jet is plugged. The slow jet lets gas into the engine when at an idle and the main jet delivers gas when you gas it. I had the exact same problem with my 160. Sure enough, when we took the carb. apart there was something in the slow jet.
